(Comedy Night 2007 Pictures)
 The
Encinitas Educational Foundation hosted its 4th Annual
Comedy Night at the Sage Grill on Saturday February 3rd
and packed the restaurant with fantastic auction items, delicious food,
laughter and most importantly, EUSD supporters!
The money raised at EEF’s Comedy night
specifically funds EUSD’s Mobile Technology Service. The Tech
Van and Noesis Technician travel to all EUSD schools maintaining and
repairing all computers.
Although this service costs approximately
$70,000 annually, the savings to the District is over $150,00/year!
In total, Comedy Night 2007 grossed over $35,000. What does this
mean to each school site?
Because of Comedy Night,
every school saved over $15,000
in computer maintenance fees this year!
Professional
auctioneer, Stephen Hamann masterfully conducted the Live Auction
which included a Spring-Break Getaway and a 7-Day
Holland America cruise. Sage Grill provided an exquisite
four-course dinner including welcome cocktails.
EEF’s
Opportunity Drawing of a HD 50” plasma TV was won by Mission
Estancia School Secretary, Joan Lovell. A special thanks to
DIGITAINMENT for
their time and generous donation of the 50” TV installation.
Congratulations, Joan, and THANKS to every person and family in the
District who participated in the Drawing!
This year’s comedian/magician
was entertaining, delighting us with a magic and comedy show.
