The
EEF Mobile Technology Van is a service funded by the Foundation
through the Annual Comedy Night and the 5% General Fund donations. The
tech-technician helps teachers with downed computers, broken printers,
networking and server issues and is seen on a rotating basis at all
nine campuses.
EEF Mobile Technology Services supports the 985 classroom computers
and 6
computer labs across the District which average 20+ computers in each
lab.
Last year EEF was able to
provide each school with at least 150 additional hours of technology
support... this valuable service saved
each school site more than $11,000 each!This is money that would have
come from their individual School Site funds.
Comedy Night 2007 was an overwhelming success and enabled EEF
to present a check of $77,000 to the EUSD to continue the Mobile
Technology Services that supports all nine EUSD schools. Save
the date for Comedy Night 2008...
it will be a fun evening!
The chart to the
right shows how many dollars schools would have spent out of their
SITE funds had each school paid for these services… a total of
over $108,666!
