There is never
enough money from the State to go around and fund all the programs we
want for our children/students to the level we want. That is where
the EEF comes in. Each school in the EUSD has the ability to sponsor
EEF fundraising events to benefit their individual school.
Together with the guidance from individual School Site Councils at
each school, goals are identified and the school can plan a fundraiser
to provide the money to meet their objective.
There is a liaison, "School
Rep", from each site that is linked to the District EEF. This
hard-working tenacious volunteer is the catalyst coordinating the
volunteers for their school fundraisers as well as assisting with EEF
District Community events.
One of the easier
fundraising opportunities are Restaurant Nights. Local establishments offer a “rebate” back
to the school for their patronage on a certain night. This is a fun
evening at a local restaurant where the kids get to see their friends
and occasionally teachers and staff.
Below is a brief
outline of what the nine schools in the District are doing this year
to support and enrich the children of our District.
